do you remember the time?
i fell a little behind on updating here - all that running around doesn’t leave as much time for blogging as you’d think. weird, huh?
ok, so last time i posted, i’d just left turkey and was heading for mykonos…WHICH WAS AWESOME. i really loved it a lot…it was my 2nd-favorite stop, i think. (my first was monaco, for the record. *wants to go back immediately!*)...

mostly this is copied and pasted from an email to my boyfriend, i won’t lie.
today we went to turkey. the port was in kusadasi (that’s koo-shah-dah-see) and it was awesome!!!! we visited the basilica of saint john, the home of the virgin mary (like her actual house where she lived; tomorrow is assumption day and like 15k people will go there) and the ruins of ephesus.

so i lied in my last post. yesterday wasn’t a sea day.

luckily, we figured that out in time to not miss our excursion. we visited capri (really gorgeous), sorrento (touristy but cute enough) and the ruins of pompei, which were definitely interesting, although ruins-wise i’m still a roman forum girl. (what a nerdy sentence, wow.)

greetings from livorno, aka the port city nearest florence. today was fun and fairly low-key. we spent the day in firenze and did some shopping (i bought new sunglasses!) and visited the basilica di santa croce, which is lovely.
tomorrow’s a day at sea. on the agenda: a massage and a pedicure. yum.

day 1 of the cruise is (more or less) complete!
monaco is unreal! i took a million pics which i’ll post when i can. my camera cord and charger are still packed somewhere in the new apartment, so i’ve been co-opting my mom’s camera, but she didn’t bring her cord, so the pics are all trapped on the camera for now. woe!
